Services Side Dressing

Successful maize crops require large amounts of nitrogen to achieve sustainable, high yields. Side-dressing provides the opportunity to place nitrogen into the soil when the maize is between 150mm and 400mm high and is at the time when the crop can best respond to this fertiliser. Our experience has shown the benefit of placing this nitrogen in the soil, between the rows to ensure maximum plant availability and minimise volatilisation losses. To achieve this, we operate two 8-row sidedressers in combination with inter-row sprayers. The side-dressers utilise our European Bogbelle Pneumatic Fertiliser metering and delivery systems to provide accurate fertiliser distribution. Combined with our inter-row spraying, our side-dressers provide greater control of your crop management and ensures the most efficient use of chemicals by only spot-spraying the weeds as required. Also available is our mounted Bogbelle Pneumatic Fertiliser spreader as a cost effective alternative for broadcasting fertiliser. We provide parallel swathing (GPS vehicle guidance) when broadcasting nitrogen to ensure accurate application. Cartage of bulk or bagged urea is also available.
