We have a wide range of cultivation equipment to create the ideal seedbed for any crop on the wide ranging soil types that occur throughout the Waikato and King Country.
Please review the following equipment as each machine has unique advantages and call to discuss the best mix of tillage equipment for your operation.
Ploughing 4, 5 and 7 furrow reversible ploughs with plastic boards to avoid sticking and ensure a thorough inversion of your previous crop residue or pasture. Two of the ploughs are available with furrow presses to help conserve moisture, prevent heavy soils turning into large, unmanageable clods and aid consolidation on light soils.
Rotary Hoe, a versatile machine for either shallow surface cultivation (chip hoeing) prior to deeper cultivation, or as a secondary cultivation tool for deeper cultivation. The rotary hoe can be used as a one pass machine to mix the topsoil and produce a fine seedbed.
6 metre Offset disks are suitable for either primary cultivation, or as a secondary tillage operation. When used in primary cultivation following pasture they produce best results when at least 10-14 days is available between spraying out and the initial pass with the disks.
Chisel Plough - curved sprung tines incorporate residue and loosen topsoil while providing some aeration down to 300-400 mm working depth.
New Simba Flat Line Ripper, when deeper aeration is required the Simba Ripper will provide aeration to 500mm working depth, thus reducing sudden changes in soil density which can impede root growth in light soils.
Simba Solo Disc Ripper -Mixing Residue, ripping and packing.
New Imants Spade Hoe - The Imants Revolution is more efficient and effective than ploughing, rotovating or harrowing and will complete the entire cultivation operation from initial primary cultivation, decompaction and aeration, to seedbed preparation in one pass! All this, at working speeds of up to 3.6mph (5.8km/h) resulting in typical work rates of 3.7acres/hour (1.5ha/hour). This is a truly remarkable achievement by any standards! Ideal for incorporation of lime or crop residues, particularly in peat.

3 and 6 metre Power Harrows. We have three 6 metre and one 3 metre power-harrow, all with packer rollers to produce level, firm seedbeds for planting or drilling
MaxiDann Cultivator is an improved roller tiller, providing tilling and packing to create seedbeds in light soil
Pasture Aeration - for subsoil aeration of established pasture the James Aerator provides an excellent subsoiling operation with minimal surface disturbance. The front disks cut through the pasture and are followed by a tyne with a wide wing to lift and aerate the subsoil environment. The rear roller closes the groove and leaves a predominately level surface.
Strip Tillage - soil Warrior Strip Tillage tool. 8 Tonne Fert Banded in the Zones, also Brillon Zone Commander. - Francis Childs and Ray Rawson, recognised as industry leaders in cultivation and soil, are passionate about managing soil health to get oxygen and soil nutrients deeper, thus promoting healthier and deeper roots. This focus on the soil is often referred to as " Farming Vertically". According to the text books, the soil performs well with no tillage. However, I believe ripping a slot in the soil with the strip till and banding your fertiliser leaves a warmer, well drained environment for the young plant to grow in.
